Sam joined WRL as a PhD Candidate in September 2022 to research freshwater fish migration and “Helping fish migrate over barriers with the UNSW Tube Fishway”.
Sam completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) at UNSW, double majoring in Ecology and Marine & Coastal Science. Sam’s honour research focused on the reproductive biology of female Blue Swimmer Crabs in south-east Australian estuaries.
Supervisors: Professor Iain Suthers, Professor Richard Kingsford, Associate Professor John Harris, Dr Stefan Felder and Dr Hayden Schilling.
