Daniel David

Research Associate
UNSW Water Research Laboratory
School of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Daniel joined the Water Research Laboratory as a Research Associate after completing his PhD thesis at the University of Western Australia on "Wave energy converters in array" with a specific focus on predicting coastal impacts, multi-objective optimisation and nonlinear interactions.

Daniel graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, with a Master's in Ocean Engineering in 2018. His research interests include nearshore and coastal processes, and marine renewable energy. Daniel also gained significant experience working on various other projects including physical and numerical modelling of breakwaters/submerged reefs and understanding their hydrodynamic effects.

Daniel is presently engaged in a project supported by the Australian Research Council focussing on Regional-scale Forecasting for Coastal Storm Impact Early Warning Systems.
