Congratulations to the WRL Green Team who received a Silver Award at last Friday’s university-wide awards ceremony!!!
WRL came 3rd overall in points for the number and range of successful sustainability initiatives that were implemented within the WRL workplace over the past several months.
Since undertaking Green Impact, WRL’s recycling has exploded! Thanks to the Green Teams’ efforts we now have systems in place to recycle breadclips, bottle tops, soft & hard plastics, bottles, cans, paper & cardboard, batteries and used mobile phones, and styrofoam collection.
We also have closed loop on site food scrap recycling, where food waste is composted and used to feed our onsite herb garden.
