Christian is a Research Associate based at the Water Research Laboratory. He is an internationally recognised expert in the investigation of hydrogeological and geophysical properties of the subsurface of the Earth.
Christian is currently working on WRL's Thirlmere Lakes project, which aims to bring light to ‘the mysterious hydrology of Thirlmere Lakes’. The project investigates the sensitivity of the lakes and their surrounding wetlands to external influences, including the effects of mining activity, groundwater abstraction and long-term meteorological and climate change.
Christian has over 10 years of experience in academic research and training in Australia and abroad, including Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Kenya and Costa Rica. Along with fluent English, he is also proficient in German, Dutch and Spanish.
