Dr Rein Nittim

Rein is the Senior Consultant Hydrologist at the Water Research Laboratory and has over 40 year’s international consulting experience in flood estimation, river hydraulics and bridge hydraulics. Rein holds a PhD in the field of Water Engineering. He has presented a postgraduate course in Geomorphology for Hydrologists at the University of New South Wales. 

Rein has expertise in hydrology, water resources, river morphology and engineering, flood mitigation, sediment transport, dredging, coastal engineering, hydraulic structures and environmental studies. From 1971 to date Rein has been envolved with the Water Research Laboratory, as a Project and then Supervising Engineer (1971-95); and Senior Consultant to WRL (1996 to date).
