WORKSHOP

Rapid construction of precision physical models and experimental equipment is undertaken in a fully equipped workshop which includes wood, metal, and plastics trades.

The workshop is used for the design and manufacturing of physical models from metal, wood, composites, and plastics, specialising in the use of clear acrylic and polycarbonate.

Capabilities and equipment include:

  • welding, bending, and rolling of sheet metal
  • centre lathe
  • universal milling machine
  • planers
  • jointers
  • thicknesser
  • a variety of wood and metal saws
