WRL opens a new Biogeochemistry Engineering Laboratory

Associate Professor Denis O'Carroll at the opening of the new Biogeochemistry Engineering LaboratoryProfessor Stephen Foster, Head of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was delighted to formally open the new Biogeochemistry Engineering Laboratory at WRL on March 31st, 2017.

This new lab has been designed to support Associate Professor and ARC Future Fellow Denis O’Carroll’s research investigating the fate and toxicity of engineered nanoparticles in the environment. The lab will also support WRL’s continued excellence in field based geochemistry studies including the outstanding research programs of Associate Professor William Glamore, Dr. Martin Andersen and their research teams.

WRL Director Professor Ian Turner, Global Water Institute Director Professor Nick Schofield, Water Research Centre Director Professor Richard Stuetz and Stephen Foster also welcomed Professor Ana Deletic on her first visit to WRL. Professor Deletic will assume her new role as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) at UNSW in July 2017.
