Stefan elected as a member of the IAHR Hydraulic Structures Committee Leadership Team

At the recent IAHR World Congress in Malaysia, WRL academic Dr Stefan Felder was elected as a member of the Leadership Team of the IAHR Hydraulic Structures Committee.

The IAHR (International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research) is a worldwide, non-profit, independent organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environment and in particular with reference to hydraulics and its practical application.

The IAHR Hydraulic Structures Committee provides a solid knowledge and experience base for design of hydraulic structures in an era of increasing specialisation in the hydraulic profession and addresses the subtle changes in the use of hydraulic structures to manage water in an environmentally sound manner. It aims to bridge the gap between researchers and practitioners and to encourage continuing education in hydraulic structures through specialty conferences.

As a member of the Leadership Team, Stefan has the opportunity to actively contribute to the future direction of the international hydraulic structures profession.
